H.M. The King's Birthday (Rama IX)

December 5th was the birthday of the late His Majesty The King Rama IX, Bhumibol Adulyadej, as well as the day being observed as country's Fathers Day.

The government on 7 February, 2017 announced that 5 December will remain a national holiday to commemorate the late king and to be observed as the nations father's day.
